The Chamber provides several programs that assist in growing and retaining talented workforce already in place, as well as partnering with our schools to develop future talent.

Leadership Moving Forward (LMF) is a content-based leadership program offered through the Chamber of Commerce for over 30 years.  LMF was developed to strengthen personal and professional leadership and teach students of the program the necessary skills to lead, connect and navigate change within their organizations & their communities.

MTCE Information

The Manufacturing & Trade Career Expo, established in 2008, is an educational manufacturing trade show held each October. The MCE is geared toward middle school students, high school students, parents and educators. The purpose of the Expo is to introduce 21st century manufacturing to its audience and to raise scholarship dollars for graduating seniors from the Menomonee Falls, Germantown and Hamilton school districts.

MTCE Mission: The mission of the Manufacturing & Trade Career Expo is to assist in the development of a future workforce by raising student awareness of the companies and opportunities in the local manufacturing industry and the corresponding educational pathways.

To Date over 6.400 people have attended the MTCE and scholarship dollars, in excess of $30,000 in highschool scholarships have been raised.

The Chamber is committed to supporting workforce development across the communities we serve. This scholarship recognizes individuals who are working or volunteering while continuing their education.

In 2026, The Chamber will award two (2) $2,000 scholarships to eligible applicants planning to continue their education in Summer or Fall 2026.

 

Applicant Requirements

  • Be one of the following:
    • A high school senior (Class of 2026)
    • A high school graduate (Class of 2026 or earlier)
    • A current post-secondary student
  • Be currently employed or serve as a regular volunteer
  • Be connected to a Chamber member as:
    • An employee
    • A dependent of an employee
    • A regular volunteer
  • Plan to enroll in Summer or Fall 2026 (full-time or part-time)
  • Complete the full application, including essay responses

Note: A “regular volunteer” is defined as consistent, ongoing service—not one-time events. Customers of Chamber member businesses do not qualify as an affiliation.

 

Eligible Education Paths

This scholarship may be used toward any formal post-secondary education or training program, including:

  • Two-year or four-year colleges or universities
  • Technical or trade schools
  • Certified training programs (e.g., skilled trades, healthcare, culinary, cosmetology/beauty, or other career-focused programs)

Applicants may already be enrolled in a program, regardless of years completed.

Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, or required program-related expenses.

 

Selection Criteria

Recipients are selected based on:

  • Commitment to employment or volunteer service
  • Impact and involvement in their role
  • Future goals and alignment with continued education

This scholarship is based on workforce contribution and community involvement—not academic performance.

 

Application Process

Applicants must complete the Developing Workforce Scholarship application and submit all required materials.

 

Application includes:

  • Completed application form
  • Essay responses
  • Basic background information (education, employment, or volunteer experience)

 

Timeline

  • Application Deadline: May 10, 2026
  • Recipients Notified: May 15, 2026
  • Checks Issued: By June 1, 2026

 

Additional Details

  • Recipients must provide proof of enrollment prior to receiving funds
  • Finalists/recipients may be asked to verify employment or volunteer status
  • Scholarships are awarded as a one-time payment
  • Applicants may receive only one scholarship per year but may reapply in future years
  • Applications are not retained; a new application is required each year
  • Chamber staff and their dependents are not eligible

Applications are reviewed by a selection committee made up of Chamber and community representatives.

Manufacturing & Trade Career Expo Scholarship - Fall 2026/Spring 2027

The Chamber offers a variety of programs designed to help grow and retain a talented workforce. One key initiative is the Manufacturing and Trade Career Expo (MTCE), held each fall in conjunction with the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce.

To support students pursuing careers in the industry, The Chamber will award scholarships each year to graduating seniors who have attended the MTCE and plan to continue their education in manufacturing or the trades.

Potential Scholarship Awards:

  • 1 scholarship for a graduating Menomonee Falls High School senior
  • 1 scholarship for a graduating Hamilton High School senior
  • 1 scholarship for a graduating senior from any school district who attended the MTCE

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must have attended the MTCE in high school (verified with the schools upon selection)
  • Must be pursuing a career in manufacturing or the trades and enrolling in formal education
  • Must complete the scholarship application in its entirety
  • Winners must provide proof of enrollment to receive the scholarship

Additional Details:

  • Scholarship payments will be issued as a one-time lump sum
  • Checks will be mailed no later than [TBD] (mailing address required)
  • Applicants may only receive one MTCE Scholarship in their lifetime
  • Chamber staff and their dependents are not eligible
